Discover How To Handle Emotional Release With Melissa Oil
by marsie poluchowska - Saturday, 29 December 2007, 04:05 AM
Anyone in the world
By Emma Sanford Plant Origin: Utah, Idaho, France Extraction Method: Steam distilled from leaves and flowers Melissa oil is a therapeutic-grade essential oil that many people have not heard of, but it is an incredibly useful oil that is calming, soothing, strengthening and revitalizing all at once. Melissa Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oil has a light, fresh, somewhat lemony scent, which makes sense since in the culinary world, Melissa is also known as lemon balm. It has a sweet, herbaceous smell and is considered one of the most powerful essential oils out there. The ancient Romans used Melissa as a general tonic that was thought to help with nervous disorders, to strengthen the heart and to revitalize the spirit. Melissa oil is thought to get rid of headaches, reduce agitation and balance the emotions. It is said that therapeutic-grade essential Melissa oil can relieve emotional blocks and give users an improved outlook on life. It is both calming and uplifting, powerful but gentle, and is thought to be incredibly useful as an antiviral. It has been used as a treatment for flu, smallpox and mumps and even can be used to eliminate sores from the herpes virus. It can also be applied to cold sores to accelerate healing. A seemingly paradoxical oil, but it is also incredibly versatile. The main downside to therapeutic-grade Melissa essential oil is that it is quite expensive. Sometimes oil is marketed as Melissa oil that is really a mix of lemongrass and citronella, which makes a scent that is similar to Melissa but with completely different properties. It is important to make sure that you know what you are buying when you are shopping for therapeutic-grade essential oils so you can ensure you are getting a high-quality product. As with other therapeutic-grade essential oils, you want to be careful when using Melissa oil, particularly since you don't want to waste a drop of this precious oil. Make sure you wash and rinse your hands before and after using this oil, and avoid getting it into your eyes. Keep therapeutic-grade essential oils out of the reach of children. Some people use Therapeutic-Grade Essential Melissa Oil neat, that is, without dilution, on the skin, but it can cause skin sensitivity and is better used diluted in a carrier oil before applying to the skin, particularly on sensitive areas like the face and neck. Likewise, Melissa oil should be diluted before taking it internally. Add one drop of oil to four ounces of rice or soy milk or another liquid before drinking for best results. 101 Ways to Build Happy, Lasting Relationships - Part 3
by marsie poluchowska - Friday, 28 December 2007, 03:47 AM

By Mia LeCron 7. Filler Talk If you are married, especially with children, break out of the habit of talking about nothing. Many times, families will be sitting around the dinner table and the conversation consists of, Do you like your carrots?, or I wonder what is on TV tonight? Instead, change your strategy to include real questions, showing real interest. Replace the normal, Did you have a good day at work? with Tell me what you did at work today. Even if you do not understand everything being said, listen with interest. It is not that you are so much interested in the work, but your mates life. 8. Re-establish Old Traditions If you and your mate had a tradition of some kind when you first got together, dust it off and breathe life back into it. Perhaps you met after work on Friday at the local pub for a drink, washed your cars together every Saturday morning, or attended church together on Sunday. Whatever it was, re-establish the tradition. 9. Predictability If asking couples the factors involved in the demise of their relationship, one of the common responses is that everything in the relationship is so predictable. When rebuilding a relationship, do not be afraid of letting go of boredom. If you normally hate the fact that Saturday afternoons consist of your mate sitting for hours watching football, fix some finger sandwiches and something cool to drink and go join them on the couch, or if your mate spends hours in the garden trying to make things look perfect, surprise them with a new flowering plant, and then help to plant it. When taking a walk with your mate, stop and give them a soft kiss, say, I love you, and then keep walking. Take some chances and do the unexpected. 6 Things You Must Do If You Want To Have The Secret To Catching More Trout
by marsie poluchowska - Thursday, 27 December 2007, 05:42 AM

By Robin Shortt It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming. ~John Steinbeck 1. How Fish Think When you hunt for deer, and any other animal for that matter, there are some set rules you have to follow if you are going to catch some very wary Brook and Brown trout. Will the rules for hunting somehow help with Trout Fishing. 2. Study and Research Understanding how a trout thinks, will increase your chances of success. You could go to a local bookstore as well as the library. Within a week you will know more about Trout than 99.9% of the world's population. 3. Trout Tips Trout have monocular vision. This means that each eye can focus on an object independently of the other eye, giving them an all-around panoramic field of vision. Research has confirmed that fish , to some extent, can see color, above and beyond some practical uses of color. The fact that most strikingly colored species use their pigmentation for attracting mates; or they use color to hide from and scare off would be predators. 4. Hearing Sound travels more than four times faster through water than it does through air. Trout can hear sound through the vibrations in the water, through a porous lateral line along the sides of its body. As it picks up water vibrations, the fish becomes aware of feeding frenzies or other fish fleeing that happens nearby. 5. Touch There are many species that have taste receptors on the skin, which send food messages to the brain, and prompts the fish to go towards the source of the food taste. There are also fish that have receptors on their heads, mouths, lips, and on, barbels like that of a catfish. 6. Smell Many species of fish have nostrils with which to smell odors coming from food and mating partners. Their nostrils have sensors that detect the odors from the water and send signals to their brain. To understand how Trout think, what spooks them, what excites them, when they feed, when they travel, and a number of other factors really is very important if you want to fill your creels full of fish consistently. Luckily for you, theres a man who has captured the essence of fishing and put his expertise into a Book, which is titled How To Catch A Trout Every Time When Spinner Fishing Your Favorite Stream Or River. This book is quite literally the bible of Trout Fishing. If you' re new to fishing or semi-experienced, you' ll immediately improve your chances of catching fish each time you go after reading the book. The authors name is Nick Anikijenko. 7-Day Weight Loss Guide: Negative Calorie Foods?
by marsie poluchowska - Tuesday, 25 December 2007, 02:04 AM
Anyone in the world
By Craig Ballantyne Every week I am going to give you a day-by-day plan to the week ahead, to help take the confusion out (ie. discussing topics like the negative calorie diet) and put the success back in your fat loss plan. So print this out, put it on your fridge, and let it guide you to your fat loss goals, while keeping your workouts fun and motivating. If you're a M-F, 9-5'er, you know that Sunday should be your day to hit the grocery store and get fresh meat and produce to prepare your meals for the next week. I'm a big fan of picking up some fresh salmon fillets and asparagus for Sunday dinner. Chicken breasts are cooked "en masse" for freezing and then used over the week as easy lunchtime protein sources. Fruits and vegetables are washed and prepared for cooking or snacking, and almonds and walnuts are packed into travel bags for when I'm on the go. Prepare and succeed. It's that easy. But what about negative calorie foods? Are there foods we can eat that burn more calories than they contain? No. That's ridiculous. While these "negative calorie foods" are healthy, and help fill you up, they still contain calories. Now here we go with our day-by-day guide... Monday After your strength program, try a different exercise machine (or bodyweight exercises) for your interval training workout. Tuesday 30 minutes of activity. Take some additional time to review your nutrition, reviewing your food intake. Check the number of calories you are consuming. Are you eating too much? Too little? Not enough protein? Wednesday In addition to your workout, take some time and review your short-term and long-term training goals. Have you met your short-term goals? Are you getting closer to your long-term goals? If you aren't, determine the obstacles in the way of your success and make a plan to work around them. Thursday 30 minutes of activity. If you are using a cardio machine, or even running, make sure that you are using proper technique and posture. Have a fitness professional monitor your technique and your breathing. This will ensure that you get the greatest benefits from your efforts. Friday Your last strength and interval workout of the week...have fun. Add some biceps curls or something you really like. You've earned it. Also, make a goal to reduce the amount of diet soda you drink and replace it with Green Tea. Even though diet soda is calorie-free, it contains a lot of chemicals and doesn't contain the helpful nutrients found in Green Tea. Saturday 30 minutes of activity. Make it fun! And check in with a member of your social support group - perhaps go out for a healthy lunch and a long walk while discussing your progress and sources of motivation. Sunday Another 30 minutes of activity. Plan, shop, and prepare. Reduce the amount of diet soda and other junk on your list, and replace it with Green Tea and green vegetables. Another week and another pound or two of fat should be hitting the road. Craig Ballantyne is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and writes for Men's Health, Men's Fitness, Maximum Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers, and Oxygen magazines. His trademarked Turbulence Training fat loss workouts have been featured multiple times in Mens Fitness and Maximum Fitness magazines, and have helped thousands of men and women around the world lose fat, gain muscle, and get lean in less than 45 minutes three times per week. Depression Is An Equal Opportunity Condition
by marsie poluchowska - Monday, 24 December 2007, 05:05 AM
Anyone in the world
By Belver Ladson Depression is a serious medical condition that can affect anyone. Men, women and children are all susceptible to this disease which can have devastating effects on someone's daily life. Depression can come on suddenly, for no reason, or it might follow a traumatic experience such as a death or some other traumatic experience. Symptoms of depression can interfere with a person's ability to work, sleep, study and enjoy life in a fruitful way. If you find that these symptoms persist for more than a few weeks you should discuss it with your doctor. The symptoms to look for include: sadness, irritability, no interest in hobbies and activities which once were loved, hopelessness, problems sleeping, fatigue, thoughts of suicide or death, feelings of guilt and significant weight change. Once these symptoms start affecting the way you live your life, it's time to seek help. M.I., who has had depression on and off for many years says, "I never really knew what was wrong with me. I would have these bouts with trying to cope with life, but all I would end up doing is staying sad and crying all the time. I couldn't see any way out of what I was dealing with in my life, but I'm glad I hung in there. Being able to find out what was wrong with me and knowing that I could get treatment for it changed my life." Depression an also affect the physical health of a person, which is a symptom that is often overlooked. I. A., a depression sufferer shares, "I would get these pains in my arms, shoulder and hands. My doctor told me that he couldn't find anything wrong. Nothing wrong with my bones or my joints, but the pains never seemed to go away. Now I know it was related to the depression." No one knows what exactly causes depression, but some believe it might be caused by an imbalance of certain chemicals in the brain, and in that instance you and your doctor might decide that you need to take antidepressants. One form of depression called "Seasonal Affective Disorder" (SAD) uses light therapy as treatment since it's thought that a lack of sunlight during certain times of the year could be a cause. If you think depression might be entering your life, don't wait to get help. There is nothing wrong with asking questions and trying to get help. Many people are too afraid or feel guilty about asking for help for depression. A lot of the world still thinks that depression is "just the blues" or just a person feeling down. Depression is a very real medical condition that is just as valid as having a broken bone that would need to be treated. "A reluctance to get help can lead to years of disability and not having a good and happy life," says B.D., "I could have gotten help a long time ago, but I waited for about ten years before taking action. I thought I should have been a person strong enough to beat depression on my own. I sure wish I had made the move toward help instead of waiting." Remember, depression is a treatable condition that can get better. You need to take the steps to get the help you need. Tanning Bed Side Effects And Their Harmful Effect On Your Skin
by marsie poluchowska - Sunday, 23 December 2007, 12:43 AM
Anyone in the world
By Tim Gorman There is overwhelming evidence that tanning bed side effects are damaging to the skin. The whole object of tanning is to look better. However the side effects of tanning are so damaging to the skin that the results can be older looking skin or even death. Some of the most devastating results of the tanning bed side effects include: * Malignant melanoma - This is a skin cancer that is developed in the skin cells that give the skin its pigmentation. This form of melanoma has increased more rapidly over the last 4 decades than any other form of cancer. In the United States, this type of cancer is responsible for over 80 percent of deaths linked to skin cancer * Basal cell carcinoma - This is the most common form of skin cancer. This cancer presents as shiny pink or a red lump on the skin surface. These little cancers can appear on the face, scalp, nose or ears. *Squamous cell carcinoma is the second most common type of skin cancer. This cancer presents as pink lumps on the skin. The skin area may look scaly and then becomes a sore. These pink lumps become ulcerated and easily bleed. These pink lumps are found on the face, neck, lips, ears, hands, shoulders, arms and legs. The effects of the UV radiation from the sun or the UV radiation of tanning beds are the same. Ultra violet radiation causes all three types of skin cancer. Why UV rays cause cancer is well known. Why people continue to use tanning beds when the effects are documented is a subject worthy of discussion. Beautiful golden tanned skin is almost a fashion accessory. Individuals will go to any length to be in fashion. Even at the expense of their health, fashion conscious people go into to tanning salons by the millions, knowing that their very lives may be at risk. It is an interesting observation that people tan to look young and glamorous but the long term effects of exposure to the ultraviolet rays will damage DNA and also damages the skin to the point that wrinkles occur more readily in people who are frequent sun bathers and users of tanning booths It is always a good idea if people insist on going out into the sunlight or into tanning booths to wear some protective eye wear. Eye damage is another critical effect of using tanning beds. The ultraviolet rays can produce cataracts. Long term exposure to the sun's rays or exposure in a tanning booth can lead to blindness. Also UV exposure compounds another problem a with tissue growth on the white parts of the eyes. Medical studies linked the extended exposure of the eyes to UV rays to patients with damaged retinas and macula degeneration. The damage to the body's DNA may be the second most devastating effects of tanning beds. This damage can lead to a form of mutations. The body's defense mechanisms are hampered by extended exposure to UV radiation. The basic cellular structure of the body is compromised which leaves the body with no defense against cancer. The really bad news is that tanning beds emit more UV radiation than the sun. So the UV rays are more damaging to the body in a shorter span of time. The rays from a tanning bed is UVA rays rather than the UV rays that come from the sun. Even thought these rays do not burn the skin like the sun, they go deeper into the skin surface and cause more damage. Evaluation of Pop-up Trade Show Displays Currently on the Market
by marsie poluchowska - Saturday, 22 December 2007, 08:09 AM
Anyone in the world
By Chad Leiffert The pop-up style expandable frame display has now been in existence for over 15 years. It is the most common portable display now on the market. The first were made of a flexible fiberglass frame, with aluminum channels bars and roll able fabric that was attached to the framework with magnets. The basic design has not changed over the years, but the options this technology offers has. The frame expands to a large size, allowing a full 10' wide exhibit to be transported in a relatively small case. The case also contains the fabric, lights and vertical bars allowing for the fabric or photo-mural panels to be attached. Most 10' pop-ups , in their case weigh under 90 pounds complete. There now are many manufacturers of many types, the most common being a 10' width display described as follows: A. Standard Grade Popup - includes lighter weight aluminum frame, individual aluminum, PVC or steel channel bars, Velcro (Frontrunner or Prelude) fabric panels and thermo molded shipping cases with wheels. They are quite common; usually incorporate two 200 watt halogen lights, and a case of some type that can be converted to a podium. They are a standard ten foot wide curved design. The price ranges for the standard curved models in a ten foot width run $995-$2995, depending on the vendor. B. Commercial Grade Popup - includes heavy weight frame with nylon connectors, folding steel channel bars, Velcro (Frontrunner or Prelude) panels and the choice of 1 or 2 thermo molded shipping cases with wheels. Less common, as they are more expensive, they also come in different shapes, straight or curved, and in many widths. There are only a few brands that may be labeled "commercial" as the tendency of the marketplace has been to make the pop-up exhibit lighter and less expensive to own. They are more for companies that exhibit often, with different employees setting up the display each time. They can take far more abuse than the standard type pop-up found for sale everywhere on the internet. The price ranges for these types run $1795-$3495, depending on the vendor. C. Photo Mural Grade Popup - A standard grade popup with the substitution of photomural panels instead of the Velcro fabric panels and includes everything in the standard grade pop up. These are still standard pop-ups, but have a greater appeal as they have powerful large-format graphics on the front, attracting attention. They are more expensive, because of the photo panels, but still are just as portable. The customer has to be careful here as many types of panel printing can be offered, from the most expensive DURST LAMBDA to inexpensive ink-jet processes. The prices run from $2195-$5995, depending on the vendor and the print process. D. Fabric Mural Grade Popup - A popup curved or non-curved frame with a replaceable fabric graphic mural. The fabric mural is pre-attached to the frame, making set-up much easier than the standard pop-up with photomurals. This display offers a full photomural effect without a cumbersome set up procedure. It transports in a lightweight nylon bag, hard shipping case and lights are usually available. These weigh less than half of what standard 10' pop-ups weigh. The graphic face usually gets wrinkled in the bag, but his can be remedied by the owner with stretching and steaming. The print process needed for these types is important also, as they are generally viewed as a lower quality graphic than what is found on standard pop-ups. This may not be the case, depending on the vendor. Prices for these pre-attached models with fabric faces run $1695-$4995, depending on the vendor and print process. E. 3-D Style Pop-up - These are the newest entries to the pop-up market. They essentially are the fabric style pre-attached graphic pop-up only with a twist. They have the graphics attached to the framework to give a three dimensional effect, also incorporating different frame shapes, from square to round to trapezoidal. The graphics are already on the frame, making set up of these types very easy. The graphics are also easily removable/ replaceable with costs being low. They run from $995-$8995 depending on the shapes, numbers of graphics and vendors print process used. _____________________________ Copyright information.... Power of the Tongue
by marsie poluchowska - Friday, 21 December 2007, 02:47 AM
Anyone in the world
By Frederick Riley Looking back over my life I can see the workings of powerful tongues, many broke me down and almost killed me, yet others changed my life forever. When I was 3 or 4 my parents, family and family friends started using their power on me, I recall many words clearly are you stupid, don't be stupid and even you can never do anything ritenow it did not happen every day, perhaps only once every four or five months, but that was enough, I started school at the age of six and no matter how hard I tried I just could not get anything rite, I felt stupid and the evidence of my doom was insight. Then one school sports day things turned for me, I had always come last in athletics as in class, however I was selected to run in a 50 meter race, as I stood there I looked around at my competitors and noticed I was running against the fastest boy in the school and a few others, oh well I thought, I will only come last again, then suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, I looked around and there was my mom, son she said, I know you can do it , well needless to say there was not a faster boy on that field than me that day, I won that race with legs and a heart that felt as though they were super-charged, I did not know then but I know now it was the power of my moms tongue that gave me my wings in athletics that day forward throughout my school athletic career. There have been many such incidents in my life however sadly 90% of my school teachers killed me but it only took the 10% to give me wings, at the age of 9 I was a enthusiastic rugby player, one day my dad fetched me early from practice as we were walking away I heard the coach call out were are you taking my best player me I thought best player, I can only thank God for people like that because although I was not the best of rugby players then, I became one because of his words, now I also had a cricket coach and one day after hitting a bad ball he shouted out, Fred your cricketing days are over after hearing that they were, no matter how hard I tried my cricketing days were over and I never played the sport again and became a mere spectator. As in sport my educational future also seemed largely determined by my teachers, I had a mathematics teacher that told me one day that I will never get it, that helping me was useless, she often wrote remarks in my book and little did she know that she killed me, I could never succeed in mathematics ever after that year unlike my science and afrikaans subjects that were taught my another wonderful lady who knew the power of the tongue and how to use it, she helped turn my school career around and for the two years I was there success was mine. Parents also never realise the power they have, I often failed because my parents misused their tongues, not because they were bad people, and much of the time when I succeeded it was when they had a good words for me, I once asked my dad why they named me Frederick, I really did not like that name, what he said that day once again changed my life forever. He told me that they named me after my grandfather and then he said, do you know that you name means peaceful ruler, you are born to rule he said, the workings of what he said that day had a huge impact on my life, do you know that since then I have always been in leadership positions from being a prefect / monitor at school till today where I have been a Manager throughout my career in various businesses, all thanks to him using the power of his tongue. Parents and teachers play a powerful role in a child's life, please be careful how you use the power of your tongue there is a few verses in the bible that go like this: 1) Pro 18:21 Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. 2) Jam 3:6 And the tongue is a fire; it is the power of evil placed in our bodies, making all the body unclean, putting the wheel of life on fire, and getting its fire from hell. Folks today is the day you can change your child, friend, colleagues and spouses life forever, I challenge you do out and learn control over your tongue, learn to use your power wisely after all with true power comes responsibility. Should You Make Your Own Beauty Products?
by marsie poluchowska - Thursday, 20 December 2007, 12:05 AM
Anyone in the world
By Janice Wee With the huge range of beauty products on the shelves, why do some people still make their own beauty products? I started making my own skin care products years ago. I got a book about natural skin care. You can actually make masks out of mashed fruit. They are really messy though, but back then, I was really broke. Could not afford to spend on good skin care so I made do with what I could get. I mashed watermelon and put in on my face. My face felt really clean, but there was a bit of a rash after that. I also read that papaya was used in spas for back exfoliating masks. In fact, the enzymes in papayas and pineapples are often used to exfoliate the skin. These can be rather harsh though, so I never tried that on my face. One thing led to another. I moved on to make my own creams. I went through a period of time where every body lotion I tried from the stores, from the cheap ones to the $20 ones, made my skin itch. That prompted me to make my own body cream. The cream recipes I found were mainly for cold cream. These were really heavy, oil based stuff. I wanted something lighter. A water based lotion. A cream is basically droplets of water suspended in oil, kept in that state by an emulsifier. For my creams, I used beeswax as an emulsifier. I experimented in the kitchen. After plenty of failed experiments. I finally came up with lotion in a texture I simply loved. A lotion is made of droplets of oil suspended in water, kept together by an emulsifier. I used lecithin for my lotion. Here are some of the lotions I made. By varying the water based part, using rosewater or tea instead of plain water, you can make all sorts of lotions. Likewise, you can play around with the oil part of the formula, with various infused oils, or a few drops of different essential oils, to change the lotion or cream. You can make tailor your beauty products to your personal tastes, and needs. I had lots of fun with that. My skin loved these home made creams when they were fresh. I even made a batch tailored specially for a cousin, using ingredients that she loves. Yet, I have since stopped making them. Why? Laziness is the main reason. Lack of time is another reason. So much care must go into making the lotions which don't keep. For me, even if I keep the lotions refrigerated, 2 days after making the lotion, if I use it on my face, my skin breaks out. 3 days later, if I use it on my body, my skin itches. Preservatives are put in commercial skin care products to prevent these from spoiling. Without preservatives, bacteria, mould and all these nasty things multiply rapidly, spoiling the entire batch, causing nasty reactions on the skin. These home made beauty products don't have preservatives. That meant that I had to make new batches of skincare almost everyday. Also, care must be taken to ensure all the equipment is sterile so the final product is safe to use. Carelessness could introduce lots of nasty germs into the beauty products you make. The water and oil component must be heated to the same temperature and drops of one are added to the other while mixing thoroughly or the batch might separate. It is so much more convenient to buy beauty products from brands that agree with my skin condition, than to make them from scratch. That is what I have been doing lately. Plus the reknown skincare lines are way better than what I can make. I mean, with their R & D budgets, they can afford to do plenty of research on creating the most effective beauty products for virtually any beauty need. At the end of the day, whether you make your beauty products or buy them off the shelf, it is a matter of your personal preference. It usually came in two flavors Sit up straight or Stand up straight. The typical response to it was: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Some of us paid heed to the urgings and the rest of us did... nothing. So there you are, the lucky beneficiary of slouching posture. The perks of this return to Neanderthal-like stature may be: soreness between the shoulder blades, tension in the upper shoulder and neck, tightness in the front of the shoulders and chest, and a generally shorter you. Granted its not always easy to walk or sit like youve got a board strapped to your back. Heck, even fitness professionals slouch. Sometimes its just more comfortable. Why mess with comfort? Your body has an optimal alignment where everything is balanced and the world is perfect. If something is introduced that disrupts the alignment like say...slouching. Then the world can get ugly. When you slouch, your head can migrate forward, followed by your shoulders. In an attempt to re-balance the body your hips may tilt forward, which can affect your knees and finally your ankles. Before you know it, youve got head to toe muscle imbalance. To counter the effects of slouching, the side of your back (latissimus dorsi), chest (pectorals), and side of your neck (scalenes and sternocleidomastoid muscles) must be relaxed. This particular group of muscles typically gets tight from slouching. Having tight/shortened muscles means there will also be weak/lengthened muscles, which must be addressed if slouching is to be corrected. The areas between and below the shoulder blades (rhomboids, mid and lower trapezius), lower shoulder blade (infraspinatus and teres minor), and front of the neck (longus colli and capitus muscles) are what need to be strengthened. A common exercise for this is the Prone Cobra. Think of the strengthening portion as the glue that will hold your body in optimal alignment. It typically takes four to six weeks of consistent exercise to see and feel a taller you. After that, clients are usually progressed to more challenging variations of this protocol. The thing to remember is that this isnt a one-time fix. Life presents innumerable opportunities to revert to slouching. To keep it in check this approach must be seen as a preventive measure, and a way to ward off those who would tell you to Sit up straight. Static Sternocleidomastoid Stretch Place right arm behind back and stand tall with belly button pulled in. Tilt left ear to left shoulder while turning head over right shoulder. Apply gentle overpressure with left hand to create a mild stretch from the right ear to right collarbone. Hold for 20-30 seconds, repeating 2-3 times per side. Static Scalene Stretch Place left arm behind back and stand tall. Pull belly button in and tilt right ear to right shoulder. Apply gentle overpressure on left side of head to create a mild stretch in the left side of the neck. Hold for 20-30 seconds and repeat on both sides 2-3 times. Static Lat Stretch Kneel on the floor. Bend from the hips and place hands on the ground. Tilt hips under you, pull belly button in, and reach forward until you feel a stretch alongside your ribs and underarms. Hold for 20-30 seconds and repeat for 3 repetitions. Static Pectoral Stretch Stand perpendicular to a wall with right foot forward and toes pointing forward. Place left palm on the wall and pull belly button in. Slowly turn away from the wall to create a mild stretch in the chest. Hold for 20-30 seconds and repeat on both sides for up to 3 repetitions. Prone Cobra Lay on your tummy with hands alongside hips. Pull belly button in and squeeze glutes. Lift upper body and hands off the ground. Tuck chin to chest and rotate thumbs back towards hips. Pinch shoulder blades together and down to back pockets. Return to the ground and repeat 15-20 times.
