Rationale: To foster a more detailed understanding of the history of the Bahá’í Faith and the writings of its four central Figures, the Furútan Academy will design and deliver high-quality curriculum materials as a contribution towards the systematization of the Bahá’í community’s educational process. Objective: To develop, implement and foster systematized college-level training courses on the essential Bahá’í fundamentals with a special focus on the Faith’s history and its sacred texts. Format: The content will be undergraduate post-secondary institution level, and will be evaluated via essays and shorter papers as well as written examinations. Prerequisites may need to be established for higher-level classes. Courses will be arranged according to the following schema:
Audience: Bahá’í adults and youth (ages 15 and up). Forums: All classes are held at local school settings such as community college campuses. This will strengthen the focus on learning and academic discipline. Course curricula may be published in the future as booklets or books for use in other countries. The course curriculum must always be taught in tandem with a qualified instructor. These courses will not be offered in any other formats such as distant education or internet interactive programs. |
