This course offers a detailed overview of 'Abdu'l-Baha’s table talks from 1904 to 1906 with Laura Clifford Barney. His ‘answered questions’ make an excellent introduction to Baha’i teachings in a format holding special appeal to Western minds. Themes include: patterns in the missions of the Founders of the great world religions, the interpretation of biblical prophecy and challenging Christian traditions, the stations and powers of the Manifestations or Intermediaries between God and humanity, the physical world and human nature (including issues related to evolution), mysteries of spiritual psychology, as well as some points of social ethics and metaphysical perplexities. Participants will find that 'Abdu'l-Baha’s explanations and illustrations offer brilliant simplicity, while generating profound insight and deeper investigation.
